ONE OF SIX ORIGINAL LICENCEES TO MANUFACTURE EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE

ASTRA PRODUCTS PTY LTD is one of the pioneers in Australia in the manufacture of Expanded Polystrene (EPS). Charles (Chucky) O. Schloman, the company founder, originally developed and built the necessary plant and equipment in the early 1960's.


Astra Products is one of the original six licensees to manufacture EPS and today we stand as the oldest original EPS manufacturer in Australia.


The raw material Polystyrene is manufactured by the polymerisation of the styrene monomer and is a derivative of ethylene and benzene.
